Job Summary
Safely transport students within the community to and from school, prioritizing student safety during boarding, transit, and exiting. Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain bus cleanliness, and assist with fueling and basic upkeep. Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Report any mechanical issues or student behavior concerns promptly and professionally. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with safety practices and policies. This is a unionized, part-time role with routes assigned for the 2026/2027 school year, focusing on safe transportation, reliability, and positive interactions with students, families, and school staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid minimum full G class driver’s license for at least 1 year
- Safe driving record
- Ability to obtain clean criminal record search with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Ability to work independently
- 21 years of age or older
- Knowledge of Woodstock and surrounding areas
- Comfortable driving in all weather and road conditions
- Comfortable driving large vehicles
- Basic computer skills; navigation via Google Maps or GPS
