Job Summary
Proactively recruit individuals to apply and train them to become School Bus Drivers. Provide classroom instruction and behind-the wheel training for applicants and bus drivers, recommending upgrades as necessary. Deliver ongoing training and performance evaluations for all driver employees while administering the company random drug/alcohol testing program. Conduct regularly scheduled driver safety meetings and respond to personal injury or vehicle accidents by performing on-scene investigations and submitting reports. Investigate customer service complaints related to safety issues and take appropriate corrective action. Drive a school bus on designated routes. This role requires a valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, three years of school bus driving experience, and state-based trainer certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a school bus driver
- Possess all valid applicable state licenses and other required certifications to operate company vehicles
- Possess all valid applicable state licenses and other required certifications to train and evaluate school bus driver
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations related to student transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement
- State based trainer certification
