Job Summary
Conduct daily school bus driving assignments with a guaranteed minimum of five hours per day after completing classroom training and obtaining a Class B permit. Finish behind-the-wheel training by completing a minimum of twenty hours once the permit is secured. Perform additional duties as a Transportation Aide or drive Class C Van Routes if assigned by the supervisor. Report daily for assignments following successful completion of background checks, drug testing, DOT physical, and fingerprinting. The position includes a 130-day probationary period.
Required Qualifications
- Class B permit
- Valid driver's license (implied by Class B permit requirement)
- Ability to report daily for assignments
- Completion of a pre-employment physical examination
- Passing a pre-employment drug screening
- Completion of fingerprinting
- Completion of DMV testing
- Completion of CHP testing
- Completion of background checks
- Completion of a DOT physical
- Completion of twelve (12) days of classroom training
- Completion of a minimum of twenty (20) hours of behind-the-wheel training
