Job Summary
Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes and schedules, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining order and passenger safety, assisting passengers including those with disabilities (wheelchair lifts and restraints), and communicating with dispatch while complying with federal, state, local laws, and company policies. Free CDL training is available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities include transporting students, taking attendance, reporting maintenance needs, handling passenger rules, and ensuring safe operation and security of the bus. Attend safety training and-related meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, including a DOT medical card and DOT drug screening
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- No convictions for driving while license is suspended or revoked
- Availability to work varying shifts; assignments based on seniority
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and professional conduct
