School Bus Driver

Job Summary
Primary responsibility is to safely transport students in instructional vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions. Drives regular routes, assists students with loading/unloading (including wheelchair lift), conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reads route sheets/maps, communicates with school personnel, parents, and students, attends safety and training meetings, performs bus cleaning, and carries out emergency evacuation procedures as required by contract and OSHA guidelines; emphasizes student management and professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Operator’s license with required endorsements & other state or local permits as required
- Good verbal communication skills
- The ability to work early morning hours
- Must be able to work without direct supervision
- Dress in a professional and appropriate manner for a business environment
- Perform all job functions in the safest manner adhering to OSHA guidelines & other applicable Federal & State laws
- Execute all job duties while following company policy and procedure
- Ability to use or learn to use internet, additional programs as required and office equipment, including fax and phones or other electronic devices
