Job Summary
As a Part Time School Bus Driver in Bozeman, MT you will safely transport students to and from school and activities, supervise boarding/unloading, assist with seatbelts and mobility aids, and maintain order on the bus. The role includes pre-trip and post-trip inspections, communicating with parents and dispatch about delays or behavior, and delivering safe, reliable transportation with leadership and customer service to students and families. Training for CLP/CDL is provided, and the schedule features split AM/PM routes with no nights, weekends, holidays, or summers required, plus potential field trips and events. Advancement opportunities exist within First Student across locations. DOT safety requirements apply.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license for at least 5 years
- 21 years old or older
- Part-time schedule available
- DOT drug testing compliance
- CDL training provided or willingness to obtain CDL/CLP
- Safe driving record preferred or acceptable
- Ability to supervise loading/unloading of students
- Ability to conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Commitment to safety and customer service
- Flexibility for morning and afternoon routes
