Job Summary
Drive morning and afternoon school bus routes Monday through Friday, transporting students safely to and from school and activities. Supervise boarding and unloading, assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids, and maintain order on the bus. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of brakes, lights, tires, and emergency exits; report mechanical issues promptly and keep the vehicle clean and sanitary. Obey all traffic laws, communicate with parents and dispatch regarding delays or behavior, and demonstrate leadership and customer service skills. No experience is necessary; expert training and guidance are provided to help you succeed as a First Student school bus driver.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years old
- Full Class 5 driver's license for at least 1 year
- Looking for a part-time schedule and summers off
- Valid Commercial License
- History driving with ride share companies or taxi services
- Previous experience as a teacher, commercial driver, social worker, classroom assistant, hospitality worker, or customer service or retail associate
