Job Summary
Conduct morning and afternoon pickups and drop-offs for students, supervising boarding and unloading while assisting with seatbelts and mobility aids. Maintain order on the bus, perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of brakes, lights, tires, and emergency exits, and report mechanical issues immediately. Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding student behavior or delays while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards. Work flexible split shifts on weekdays only, with guaranteed minimum hours of six per day. This part-time role offers supplemental income for retirees or parents, with opportunities for advancement into operational, maintenance, and leadership positions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with Air Brake, Passenger, and School Bus Endorsements
- Valid driver's license for at least 3 years
- Are at least 25 years old
- Fully licensed to operate a school bus in the state of Tennessee
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
