Job Summary
This part-time role entails the safe transportation of students, including daily vehicle checks, compliance with regulations, upkeep of the bus, and exceptional customer service. Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, be at least 21 years old, and pass a DOT physical. The ability to communicate effectively at various levels and work flexible shifts is essential. Additionally, candidates must have clean driving records and comply with all relevant safety and substance policies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean Hawaii Driver History Record and Criminal Abstract
- Minimum age to drive – 21 years old
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Able to pass a DOT physical
- Must meet/adhere to all requirements of FMCSA, DOT, FTA and DOE
- Able to work flexible shifts – 24/7 availability
- Communicating effectively orally and in writing
- Compliance with company Substance Abuse Policy and DOT Controlled Substances and Alcohol Use and Testing regulation
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to upgrade to CDL
- First Aid, CPR Certified
- Pass DDC (Defensive Driving Course)
Additional Requirements
- Requires expertise in dealing with people and situations involving complex issues
- Position requires working under deadlines and/or pressure
