Job Summary
Safely operate assigned vehicles, conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain routes with punctuality while managing student behavior to ensure passenger safety. Report any vehicle issues promptly and adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements. This role requires a valid CDL with P and S endorsements or a license with three years of experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to work split shifts daily. Zūm provides CDL training for non-certified drivers and offers modern, technology-equipped buses.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 21 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL with P and S endorsements + additional certifications required by your state for legal school bus operation
- Valid driver's license with 3+ years experience
- Willingness to obtain CDL (training provided for non-certified)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
- Ability to work split shifts (AM/PM) daily
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for working with children
