Job Summary
Provide safe and efficient transportation for students by maintaining a regular time schedule on the prescribed bus route with pickups and discharges only at authorized stops. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keep the bus clean inside and out, and report all incidents of misconduct in writing to the principal. Abide by all Federal, State, and Local laws regarding pupil transportation while maintaining an orderly atmosphere and transporting only authorized passengers. Attend pre-school workshops and safety meetings, complete all reports and time schedules accurately, and maintain an open relationship with students, parents, and administrators.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License with endorsements", "Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time", "Manual dexterity", "Hearing and understanding speech at normal levels", "Ability to speak in audible tones", "Physical agility to lift and carry up to 40 pounds", "Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead", "Physical ability to move within the confines of the bus to provide assistance to students
