Job Summary
Transport students to and from school and extra-curricular activities safely and timely. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify cleanliness, mechanical function, fuel levels, and safety. Maintain and track route data while reporting mechanical issues to district mechanics. Manage student behavior, enforce discipline, and keep the bus interior clean. Interpret routes and maps to anticipate road conditions and hazards. Maintain confidentiality of student records and comply with state and federal safety regulations. Conduct safety drills and attend monthly workshops. Keep two-way radio operational during all trips.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Annual [D.O.T. (Department of Transportation)] physical & dexterity Tests
- Current CDL and School Bus Operator's Permit
