Job Summary
Assist bus drivers transporting students, as assigned, while supporting the special needs (physical and emotional) of elementary and secondary students. Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues throughout the shift. Shifts operate on an AM schedule starting at 6:30 AM or a PM schedule ending by 4:30 PM. Initial hires are substitutes with no guaranteed hours; permanent positions offer a 4-hour daily guarantee with potential for increased seniority. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse History clearance.
