Job Summary
This position requires overseeing the safe transportation of students and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Responsibilities include ensuring students are buckled in securely, loading and unloading wheelchairs, and communicating with schools and families regarding student transport. Essential skills include critical thinking and the ability to work independently while supporting safety programs. A clean criminal record, CPR and First Aid certification, and the ability to pass a TB test are mandatory. Successful candidates will foster a respectful and safe environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Able to provide a valid government issued photo identification card
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Capable of adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and telling time
- Carries out instructions given orally, written or diagram form
Desired Qualifications
- Attend all trainings and meetings as required and needed
- Current and clean criminal abstract (obtained annually)
- Negative TB test result (obtained every 2 years skin test and every year for chest x-ray)
- CPR and First Aid Certified
