Job Summary
Assist in the safe transportation of passengers and monitor their welfare while enforcing student conduct rules. Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections, notify managers of concerns, and direct the vehicle backwards when necessary. Aid students in loading and unloading, conduct emergency evacuation drills, and communicate behavior issues with drivers. Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, including FERPA regulations, and attend required safety and training meetings. High school diploma, valid driver's license, and two years working with children preferred. Early morning availability and commitment to a safety lifestyle required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver License
- Subject to Background Check and Drug Screen
- Must be able to lift up-to 15 pounds at a time
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years working with children
- Good verbal communication skills
- Strong attendance record
- Good with children of all ages
- Ability to manager stressful situations
- Early morning and afternoon availability
