Job Summary
Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan. Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment. Document interventions and progress towards goals while collecting behavior data as specified in the client behavior plan. Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals. Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams, respecting the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families. Support school age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) by building independence in their school routine.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certified
- Be at least 18 years of age
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100
- Passage of the ParaPro Praxis Assessment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities
