Job Summary
Provide direct support to students with emotional and behavioral needs in emotional support classrooms; monitor and assist during crisis situations in the classroom; utilize de-escalation techniques to promote student safety; collaborate with teachers, aides, and behavioral staff; support students' daily routines, transitions, and behavioral goals.
Required Qualifications
- MUST have a Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
- MUST have a minimum of one (1) year working with children or young adults with behavioral, emotional, and/or personal care needs
- MUST have the ability to remain calm and take initiative during high-stress situations
- MUST have strong communication and teamwork skills
- MUST have the ability to commit to one full school year
- MUST be able to lift up to 50 pounds
