Job Summary
The School Based Therapist provides individual and/or group consultation to school district staff and offers crisis intervention in partnering districts. Responsibilities include providing psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbances, conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, monitoring client progress, and coordinating necessary behavioral health services. The position involves utilizing trauma-informed practices and participating in community trainings and events to promote services. Requires a Master’s degree and relevant licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a Master’s degree in Social Work AND Have an LMSW from the State of Michigan
- Possess a Master’s degree in Counseling AND Have a (LPC) from the State of Michigan
- Must meet qualifications of a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and/or Mental Health Professional (MHP) per the Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualifications per Medicaid Services
