Job Summary
Deliver individual and group therapy to students in school-based settings, addressing mental health concerns with trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning while collaborating with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Participate in school consultations and IEP meetings, maintain confidential client records, and facilitate classroom presentations and prevention programming. This 10-month school-year position requires provisional licensure and is located at 10950 Schuetz Road, St. Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology
- Experience directly related to the delivery of psychotherapy and/or social services
- Provisional licensure as a clinical social worker, psychologist, or counselor
- Strong interviewing skills
- Psychosocial assessment skills
- Diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
- Ability to evaluate the progress of therapeutic plans
- Ability to make individual modifications to therapeutic plans as needed
- Experience making classroom and community presentations to diverse audiences
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records, data, and reports
- Ability to provide inclusive, respectful care to students and families of diverse backgrounds
- Working knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and community support services and resources
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines related to providing mental health services in a school setting
- Access to private, reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
