Job Summary
Conduct speech and language assessments, provide therapy interventions, and support students' communication, articulation, and fluency skills under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists. Collaborate with educators, parents, and school teams to implement strategies for classroom participation, while assisting in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and monitoring student progress. Manage documentation including session notes, progress reports, and billing records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate records and reinforce therapy techniques for small groups or individual students to carryover goals into the classroom.
Required Qualifications
- SLPA MD State Licensure
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program or related field
- Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLPA
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as an SLPA assisting the SLP in a school or pediatric setting
