School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Summary
Evaluate speech and language functions and conduct comprehensive assessments per MARSE, District, and ASHA guidelines. Provide direct services for expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language while maintaining communication with parents and team members. Document student progress through specific objectives and long-term goals. Plan and provide pre-referral interventions, make referrals for further evaluation when appropriate, and complete Medicaid billing services efficiently. Requires Michigan State SLP licensure, ASHA CCC-SLP certification, and a Master's degree; must reside within 40 minutes of the school district. Located in Waterford, MI.
Required Qualifications
- ASHA certification
- Michigan State SLP Licensure or willing to obtain
- Master's Degree in Speech & Language Pathology
- Valid full Michigan License in Speech and Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency/ (CCC)
- Current LARA licensure
- Strong understanding of standardized and informal assessment strategies related to communication disorders
- Confidence in the ability to conduct comprehensive speech & language evaluations
- Ability to plan and provide services for students who have been identified as speech and language impaired
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- MI State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Educator Certificate
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
