Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide evidence-based interventions to improve students' articulation, fluency, and language skills. Collaborate with educators, parents, and school teams to implement strategies supporting classroom participation. Monitor student progress, adapt treatment plans, and maintain accurate session notes and billing documentation. Participate in IEP meetings and professional development while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Offer guidance to families and staff on enhancing communication skills for carryover into the classroom.
Required Qualifications
- ASHA certification
- MD SLP Licensure or willing to obtain
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- MD State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Educator Certificate
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) unless a CF
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in private practice or outpatient settings preferred
- Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices is a plus
- Dedication to providing culturally competent and client-centered care
