Job Summary
School Based Security Officer Supervisor on a 10-month contract oversees campus security operations, trains and supervises security officers, maintains incident records, monitors gang activity, coordinates with the Director of Safety and Security and school principals, and responds to emergencies. Duties include ensuring doors and windows are secured, auditing equipment, directing access, supervising activities at games and after-school events, and providing flexible hours as needed. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, ability to write concise incident reports, physical agility, and the ability to pass fitness and written testing.
Required Qualifications
- Must be over 21 years of age
- No misdemeanor arrests or convictions in last six (6) years
- No felony arrests or convictions
- Experience as a Security or Police Officer
- Must have a valid driver’s license – no conviction for careless or reckless driving, or DWI in last five (5) years
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a drug test if requested
- Demonstrates the conviction that all children can and will learn in the Little Rock School District
- Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to write reports in a concise and accurate manner
- Must demonstrate the ability to write reports in a concise and accurate manner
- Must pass a physical agility test
- Such alternatives and additions to the above qualifications may be deemed appropriate by the Superintendent
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require
