Job Summary
School Based Security Officer Supervisor responsible for informing and assisting the Director of Safety and Security and the School Principal, developing safety and security plans, training and supervising district security personnel, maintaining incident records, monitoring gang activity, operating security equipment, liaising with SROs, supervising security at games and after-school activities, recommending crime prevention programs, responding to emergencies, managing after-hours presence, controlling access through doors and windows, auditing equipment, ensuring proper security operations, and supporting district-wide safety during varied hours.
Required Qualifications
- Must be over 21 years of age
- No misdemeanor arrests or convictions in last six (6) years
- No felony arrests or convictions
- Experience as a Security or Police Officer
- Must have a valid driver’s license – no conviction for careless or reckless driving, or DWI in last five (5) years
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a drug test if requested
- Demonstrates the conviction that all children can and will learn in the Little Rock School District
- Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to write reports in a concise and accurate manner
- Must demonstrate the ability to write reports in a concise and accurate manner
- Must pass a physical agility test
- Such alternatives and additions to the above qualifications may be deemed appropriate by the Superintendent. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require
