Job Summary
Patrol school buildings, grounds, and hallways; enforce district rules and safety practices; interact with students, staff, and the public; assist in stopping fights, resolving conflicts, and supervising activities; aid principal in investigations; maintain written records; provide security for after-hours events; use security equipment and communicate effectively; must be able to meet physical and written test requirements and obtain Arkansas Private Security Officer certification; requires valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to work the contract year under 9 months (182 days).
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age.
- No misdemeanor arrests or convictions in last ten (10) years.
- No felony arrests or convictions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license – no conviction for careless or reckless driving, or DWI in last five (5) years.
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a drug test.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job and possess the ability to work in all environmental conditions to perform common security functions and duties.
- Must be able to pass a written and physical test.
- Must be able to obtain certification as a Private Security Officer through the State of Arkansas.
