School Based Nurse

School-Based Nurse needed for maternity leave coverage in Elgin, IL. The role provides comprehensive student health services within a school setting, including screenings (vision, hearing, TB, dental), medication administration (including Diastat and insulin), first aid, and maintaining health records. Responsibilities include evaluating ill students, coordinating with staff and families, overseeing health office supplies, and communicating student health information with confidentiality. Requires RN or LPN license and ADN or BSN, with at least one year of nursing experience in educational or health settings; DOJ/FBI background check and TB clearance required. Preferred experience in school health, knowledge of health policies, and familiarity with emergency procedures.
