Job Summary
Conduct patient intake, gather vital signs, and document medical history while preparing exam rooms and sterile fields for procedures. Administer immunizations, injections, and medications per provider orders, perform tests including EKGs and spirometry, and manage blood collection via venipuncture. Set up patient oxygen delivery, screen for depression using the PHQ-9 tool, and assist with appointment scheduling and medical triage. Maintain inventory, clean rooms, and manage prescription refills and test result notifications. Participate in team huddles, pre-visit planning, and quality measure tracking.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months or greater working in a clinical setting
- Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant Program or Current LPN License
- Must be able to work well under pressure while maintaining quality care
- Participation in clinic quality measures is mandatory
