Job Summary
Deliver direct nursing care to students, promote wellness through early detection of health problems, and assist in disease prevention and communicable disease control. Conduct initial assessments, interventions, and evaluations for students or staff regarding illness or injury, while maintaining first aid stations and performing quality control on laboratory equipment. Execute special education vision screenings within 10 days of receipt, assist with data collection for accident reports and medication errors, and document all visits in Infinite Campus or IMS. Identify pupils with physical, emotional, or mental health needs to make referrals, maintain sanitary conditions across schools, and adhere to district policies regarding confidentiality and abuse investigations. Report medical matters to the School Health Coordinator, parents, and physicians, and attend committee meetings as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Has demonstrated the ability to work effectively with health agencies, professionals and children.
- Willing to provide services outlined in the Kentucky Department of Education Health Services Reference Guide.
- Current CPR certification.
- Maintains require continuing education courses.
- Full-time position, 5 days per week, 100% clinic-based, in person work required.
- Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.
