Job Summary
School-Based Interventionist / Juvenile Court Liaison for East Union Community School District. Provides on-site intervention services at middle and high schools, collaborates with Juvenile Court Officers, supervises and supports juveniles on caseload, and conducts delinquency prevention and school support efforts. Responsibilities include coordinating services with agencies, maintaining progress files and providing reports or court testimony, organizing summer programming, conducting home and community visits, and transporting students as needed. Requires knowledge of juvenile court processes, crisis-management skills, strong written/oral communication, and commitment to professional development; must meet age and licensing/background check requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Option A: A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a related social science field (Preferred).
- Option B: An Associate’s degree (AA/AS) combined with a minimum of two (2) years of verifiable experience in a human services field.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Iowa motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Must successfully pass comprehensive criminal background and child abuse record checks.
