Job Summary
The Day Treatment Therapist provides evidence-based therapy services for youth diagnosed with serious emotional disturbance (SED) and their families, focusing on individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Responsibilities include facilitating therapy sessions, conducting assessments, planning treatments, crisis intervention, and maintaining client documentation per regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has a Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, with relevant certifications and active clinical licensure. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, or a related human service field
- Minimum required certification/licensure as PCMHT/CMHT, LMFTA, P-LPC or LMSW
- Active clinical license/certification per respective professional license board
- Active certification in specialized areas of practice and selected evidence-based treatment modalities
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Demonstrated skills in assessment tools, therapy with youth and families, crisis intervention
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in evidence-based therapy services
- Ability to articulate mission and values of organization
- Bilingual skills (Spanish)
Additional Requirements
- Two years of full-time experience providing direct mental health counseling and/or case management services preferred
- Mississippi license strongly preferred (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist)
