Job Summary
Collaborate within a transdisciplinary team to build therapeutic relationships that help students engage and achieve personalized goals. Deliver direct behavioral interventions to reduce behaviors impeding school success while implementing classroom modifications based on individualized education plans. Support academic instruction through individual and group activities and complete required data collection to measure service effectiveness. Communicate effectively with families and external agencies while utilizing crisis de-escalation techniques as per training. Work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM with occasional flexible scheduling, reporting to a team of counselors, teachers, and therapists within the HEART Program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Associate degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable experience
- High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experience
- At least 21 years of age
- Reliable transportation to and from the school site and other occasional meeting locations
- Valid California Driver's License
- TB test clearance
- Fingerprinting clearance
- Any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
- Ability to work occasional flexible schedule when school needs vary
- 5 weeks of paid time off
- 11 paid holidays
- 14 paid school break days
