Job Summary
Provide face-to-face consultation with classroom teachers to create positive, trauma-informed environments and develop effective behavior responses. Deliver at least one annual training to LEA personnel on mental health and substance abuse prevention while assisting in school-wide initiative development. Serve as a liaison between families and schools, supporting IEP processes, alternative placements, and collaborative trauma-informed support plans. Offer individual, group, and family therapy services to address specific behavioral issues, including formulating diagnoses and updating treatment plans. Conduct at least three psychoeducation groups annually covering mental health disorders, substance use risks, and coping strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of logs, progress notes, and reports to comply with grant requirements and annual monitoring visits.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Mental Health (MH) Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a specialization in MH Counseling
- License-eligible in respective discipline
- Completion of at least 24 graduate-level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling, or other behavioral health-related coursework (for applicants with a Master's in a related field)
- Relevant coursework in Clinical treatment and treatment planning
- Relevant coursework in Appraisal and assessment of mental disorders
- Relevant coursework in Psychopathology
- Relevant coursework in Use of the DSM for diagnostic purposes within a clinical internship or practicum in a behavioral health setting
- Years of Clinical experience (fulfillable through internships or practicums)
- Valid driver's license
- Eligibility to be covered under the organization's vehicle insurance policy
