School and Public Programs Coordinator

Job Summary
Develop yearly calendars for public and school programs, then coordinate interactive learning events including logistics, vendor management, and STEM Mobile support. Facilitate hands-on workshops and educational experiences on the gallery floor while assisting in identifying and managing community partnerships to expand diverse attendance. Coordinate staffing for community engagement events at local festivals, fairs, and STEAM outreach programs, and support the planning of large onsite partner days. Maintain updated knowledge of team programs and material purchasing schedules. Requires a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, a valid driver's license, and a Bachelor's degree in nonprofit administration or museum studies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit administration, museum studies, communications, or a related field
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings as needed
- Experience supporting educational programs, community engagement initiatives, or event coordination
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and data management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences and community partners
- Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong customer-service orientation and ability to represent the organization professionally
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Must maintain a valid driver's license
- Ability to frequently move objects up to 50 pounds
