Job Summary
Monitor the school complex by walking the facility, observing student activities, and reporting unauthorized personnel to the office. Identify safety violations, diffuse situations among students, and reinforce positive social behavior to ensure campus safety. Perform minor housekeeping and groundskeeping tasks to maintain a litter-free environment and remove dangerous situations. This role requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D., valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, and ability to complete Crossing Guard training. The position involves a 2-hour daily schedule with sedentary work duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to complete Crossing Guard training
- Valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
- Knowledge of basic safety and security principles, practices, equipment, and procedures
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Skill in recognizing potential security risks
- Skill in providing customer service
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
