Job Summary
Teachers at Catalyst are responsible for creating and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula while ensuring the safety and well-being of children aged infant to school age. Successful candidates will foster positive relationships with families and the community, maintain supportive learning environments, and supervise children effectively. Required qualifications include relevant education units in Early Childhood Education and at least two years of experience in a group care setting. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organization skills are needed along with a preference for certifications in CPR and First Aid.
Required Qualifications
- 24 postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field with passing grades of C- or better, plus 16 general education units
- AA degree or higher in ECE, CD, or related field from a nationally accredited college
- Teacher Permit or above issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
- 2 years of experience in a group care environment
- 1 year of experience supervising adults
Desired Qualifications
- Current adult and infant/child CPR & First Aid certification
- Bilingual/multilingual language preference
