Job Summary
Under the direction of the School Age Director, plan and implement daily activities in Child Care programs for the Kettle Moraine YMCA. Assist Site Leads with age-appropriate curricula while maintaining a safe, orderly environment through housekeeping duties and direct supervision of children. Prepare meals and snacks, greet parents with positive interactions, and report concerns to supervisors promptly. Adhere to DCF Wisconsin Licensing Rules, the YMCA Child Care Policies, and the Code of Conduct. Work Monday through Friday before and after school hours at multiple elementary schools in Washington County, including Farmington, Friess Lake, Green Tree, Holy Angels, and Jackson. Complete required background checks and health physicals.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Educational qualifications in compliance with DCF Wisconsin Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers
- Must complete and pass fingerprint background check and health physical
- The ability to appropriately interact with children at their cognitive level
- The ability to lift 40 lbs
- The ability to participate in all required physical activities with the children
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR/AED certification preferred
