Job Summary
Plan and implement daily activities in the Child Care programs for the Kettle Moraine YMCA under the direction of the School Age Director. Assist Site Leads in carrying out age-appropriate curriculum while maintaining a safe, orderly environment that includes housekeeping duties. Interact with children at their level, provide supervision, and assist in meal and snack preparation. Follow DCF Wisconsin Licensing Rules, YMCA policies, and the Code of Conduct, including reporting concerns promptly and adhering to the Child Abuse Prevention handbook. Greet and communicate with parents positively, build relationships with community members and volunteers, and complete required background checks and certifications. Work Monday through Friday before and after the school day across multiple Ozaukee County elementary schools.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Educational qualifications in compliance with DCF Wisconsin Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers
- Must complete and pass fingerprint background check and health physical
- The ability to appropriately interact with children at their cognitive level
- The ability to lift 40 lbs
- The ability to participate in all required physical activities with the children
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR/AED certification preferred
