Job Summary
Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment where every child is treated with dignity, respect, and care. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence educational philosophy while documenting progress and incidents per licensing requirements. Build positive relationships with families through daily greetings and ongoing communication using required systems. Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, and learning needs, including implementing IEPs and behavioral support plans. Maintain a safe, supervised classroom following all safety procedures, Name-to-Face accountability, and food allergy protocols. Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development, which may occur outside regularly scheduled work hours. Work flexible AM or PM shifts for the 2025-2026 school year, with schedules subject to enrollment and staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers in a licensed childcare center
- Must meet all Department of Health Services (DHS) licensing qualifications for Lead Teachers
- High school diploma or GED plus required experience
- College coursework in early childhood education
- CDA, CCP, EEC or NAC credential
- Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings
- Demonstrated ability to follow all safety procedures, including Name‐to‐Face accountability, food allergy processes, bottle‐feeding procedures, and Safe Sleep practices
- Ability to manage a classroom environment with consistency, structure, and care
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings

Desired Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred
- Completion of Introduction to Child Care Profession course
- Completion of Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care course
- Completion of Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher course
- A minimum of 6–12 months of early childhood or classroom experience is preferred
- CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are met
- Flexibility with schedules that may change based on enrollment, staffing ratios, and operational needs
- Availability for work schedules that may vary and are not guaranteed to be eight-hour shifts
- Acceptance of daily end times that may vary and cannot be guaranteed

- Accurately documenting and reporting accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors
- Following all Cadence Education policies, procedures, and standards outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Participating in required trainings, meetings, and professional development, which may occur outside of regularly scheduled work hours
