Job Summary
Site Lead for school-age childcare at Saukville Elementary (with Kettle Moraine YMCA) overseeing before/after school care, day camp, and related programs. Responsibilities include coordinating programs, expanding activities, supervising staff and volunteers, ensuring Wisconsin State Licensing compliance and safety procedures, maintaining facilities and equipment, building relationships with licensing and school/community partners, maintaining records, and participating in staff meetings. Requires ability to train and develop personnel, relate well to diverse groups, and meet certification/education requirements; hours are Monday–Friday before/after the school day (6:00–8:45 a.m. and 2:45–6:00 p.m.), with wage range $20–$23 per hour. Associate degree preferred and 1–2 years of related childcare experience preferred; CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred and required within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree preferred
- One to two years related experience preferred in a childcare program
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must complete Continuing Education as required by Wisconsin State Licensing Standards
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire
- The ability to relate to diverse groups of people
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be Child Care Teacher qualified or have the ability to become Child Care Teacher qualified within 3 months of hire
- CERTIFICATIONS: Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every year
