Job Summary
School Age Enrichment Program Supervisor at YWCA Lancaster, full-time. Provide a positive, nurturing environment for children, parents and staff, planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities for kindergarten enrichment and before/after school care. Maintain classroom ratio and supervise staff, ensure DHS regulatory compliance, coordinate with Penn Manor School District, manage attendance reporting, implement behavior management plans, generate name-to-face cards, coordinate with families and school personnel, assist with staff training and professional development, oversee transportation logistics and site supplies, and prepare weekly lesson plans and registrations while adhering to Keystone Stars requirements.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Ed., Elementary Ed., or human services field; or a BA/BS degree which includes 30 credits in a related field preferred
- Leadership experience in a school district or childcare program
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with DHS guidelines and regulations
- Strong written, oral communication and listening skills
- Desire and ability to embody the YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women
- Respect for children and caregivers and belief in each child’s individuality
- Adherence to confidentiality policies
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs and have movement ability to sit, stand, crawl, climb, lift overhead, bend and move from sitting position to standing
