Job Summary
Plan and deliver a consistent, child-centered program for elementary-age children in a YMCA curriculum context; provide quality compassionate care and support to children and their families; ensure supervision and safety of children at all times; implement YMCA policies and inclusion commitments; contribute to a caring, collaborative team environment and promote core values (Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility, Inclusivity). This role is part-time with morning and afternoon shifts, located in London, Ontario, and requires in-person work with availability for additional shifts on PD days/breaks; compensation ranges hourly based on region and qualifications, with government wage enhancements reflected in posted rates.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children 4-12 years is an asset
- Plans to enroll or holds a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (asset)
- Registered or in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) for ECE graduates
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C or scheduled training within 3 months
- Minimum age 18 years
- Up-to-date immunizations as required
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday following the elementary school calendar September to June
