Job Summary
Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and group sessions, while supervising homework completion. Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment by acting as a positive role model and observing state guidelines and program policies. Support program operations through attendance records, registration, and staffing duties. This part-time role at Akron Elementary School runs from 2:15 to 6:00 pm, aligning with the school calendar for the 2026–2027 year. Employer-paid childcare is available for enrolled children ages 5–12 during your shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day
