Job Summary
Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and group sessions, while providing homework assistance. Maintain a safe, healthy, and fun environment by acting as a positive role model and observing state guidelines and host school policies. Report daily to the program, communicate with parents via the Playground App, and manage attendance records and registration if assigned. Work 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Woolwine Elementary School in Woolwine, VA, as a part-time, non-exempt staff member.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to pass a Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) background check
- Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB)
- Demonstrates a warm, friendly, and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and team members
- Maintains a high level of professionalism; dependable and punctual
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs., and actively engage in all activities required to safely supervise and keep up with children
- Must be available for the 2026-2027 school year
- Must be available for the hours 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
- Must be available for Part-time, non-exempt status
- Must be located in Woolwine, VA
- Must be able to communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App
- Must be able to observe and follow state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
- Must be able to perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing (if applicable)
