Job Summary
Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion, while providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment. Act as a positive role model for children in the afternoon program from 3:25 to 6:00 pm at Temple Elementary School. Observe state guidelines, program policies, and school regulations while supporting operations such as attendance records and registration. Maintain attendance records and manage staffing responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or its equivalent; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age
- A School-age Child Care Credential or other Office recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period, and one year of experience working with children less than 13 years of age
- Associate's degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day
