Job Summary
Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion, while providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment. Observe state guidelines, program policies, and school regulations to ensure compliance. Support program operations by managing attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities. Act as a positive role model for children ages 5–12 during the afternoon session from 3:15 to 5:30 pm. This part-time role offers employer-paid childcare for enrolled children and is ideal for parents, education majors, or retirees seeking hands-on experience with classroom management.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or its equivalent; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age
- A School-age Child Care Credential or other Office recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period, and one year of experience working with children less than 13 years of age
- Associate's degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day
