Job Summary
Lead daily operations of the after-school program at Haldane Elementary School by creating a safe, engaging environment that fosters children's curiosity and confidence. Support and coach your team to ensure full staffing and readiness, while building strong relationships with families and school partners. Maintain compliance with licensing requirements, accurate records, and proper ratios at all times. Manage site inventory to ensure supplies and materials are well-stocked and restocked before becoming an issue. This role requires a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The position offers employer-paid childcare for enrolled children, telehealth, vision, and dental coverage, plus a 401(k) and paid sick time.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- NY State Children's Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience
- School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day
