Job Summary
Join a team in School Age Childcare positions, including Activities Assistant, Group Leader, and Site Supervisor roles. Responsibilities include overseeing children under 13, providing a safe environment, and engaging in activities. Applicants must possess varying degrees of experience with children and relevant qualifications, such as a high school diploma, associate’s degree, or specific childcare credentials. All positions require completion of training courses and maintaining certifications in CPR and First Aid.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years old (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
- 1 year experience working with children (Activities Assistant)
- HS Diploma/GED (Group Leader)
- 2 years experience working with children under 13 (Group Leader)
- Associate’s degree, School Age Childcare Credential, or 18 college credits in a related field (Site Supervisor)
- 2 years experience with children under 13 (Site Supervisor)
- 1 year supervisory experience (Site Supervisor)
- Maintain 30 hours of childcare-related training every 2 years
- Tuberculosis (TB) Test and physician’s clearance to work in childcare
- Child Abuse Prevention (Supervisory Staff), CPR, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 30 days of hire)
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
