Job Summary
Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and group sessions, while supervising homework completion. Maintain a safe, healthy, and fun environment by acting as a positive role model and observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school policies. Certain positions may also manage accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing. This role supports children ages 5–12 enrolled in the Before and After School Program at Marian E. McKeown Elementary School in Newton, NJ for the 2026–2027 school year. Employer-paid childcare is available for enrolled children during work hours.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must successfully pass all required state background checks
- Requires the ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Requires the ability to actively engage with energetic children
- The ideal candidate demonstrates a positive, professional demeanor
- The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues
- The ideal candidate demonstrates a consistent record of reliability and punctuality
