Job Summary

Communicate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to convey observations and student progress. Establish positive relationships with students to build confidence and self-esteem while monitoring IEPs and behavior plans. Greet individuals entering the building, verify authorized access, and direct personnel for security. Maintain assigned areas by following cleaning guidelines and state regulations. Prepare and manage projects, activities, and lesson plans appropriate for small groups or individuals. Monitor students during assigned periods across classrooms, playgrounds, and field trips to ensure safety. Document incidents, accidents, and behavior reports, and provide ongoing feedback to supervisors and parents. Participate in staff meetings and professional development trainings. Perform duties as Site Manager when needed, including administering medications, preparing snacks, and managing attendance.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Food Handlers/ServSafe Certificate
  • Criminal Background Clearance
  • Non Exempt FLSA Status
  • Knowledge of stages of child development
  • Knowledge of methods of motivating and controlling children
  • Knowledge of codes, regulations and laws related to counseling students
  • Ability to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events
  • Ability to gather and/or collate data
  • Ability to use job-related equipment
  • Flexibility to work with others in a variety of circumstances
  • Ability to work with a wide diversity of individuals
  • Ability to utilize job-related equipment
  • Ability to provide direction and leadership
