Job Summary
Initiate planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging activities for Kindergarten through Grade 5 students in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with Program Assistants and the SAC Program Coordinator to ensure safety, well-being, and adherence to the SAC Program Handbook. Manage daily operations during school days and rotate assignments for the centralized Fun Day program on non-school days. Maintain consistent attendance and communicate effectively within the cooperative staff partnership. Work Monday through Friday with flexible schedules ranging from 11.5 to 31.5 hours weekly, including morning and after-school shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Consistent and timely attendance
- Must commit to work days scheduled within a school year calendar
- Must be available to fill a rotating schedule of assignments for non-school days
- A passion for working with children in a fast-paced and enriching environment
- Exhibit flexibility as a team player with the ability to problem-solve and handle multiple tasks at a time
- Maintain a customer focus, with an understanding of parent-child interactions
- The ability to contribute to cooperative staff partnerships with communication skills to understand and be understood
Desired Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Training beyond high school/GED
- Evidence of previous, successful experience working with school-age children in a large-group care/education environment
